Meeting Summary

Hey Coyotes! In our second meeting of the Coding Coyotes club this year, we went over a review of basic print statements. Then, we used those to dive into basic data types, arithmetic, and comparison operators, and we used print statements to work with those! After that, we started an introduction to variables, and how they can be used to represent any data type. For each of these concepts, students worked with a couple of practice problems and they did very well! At the very end of the lesson, students were shown Dataquest, the learning platform they will get to use starting next week, where we will work more with variables along with a short introduction to conditionals (if/elif/else statements and for/while loops). Students will also start work on Dataquest to review topics covered in the first few weeks. It will be very interactive and hopefully it will be very fun for the students! See you next week, and go Coyotes!
